A Refresher on Free Speech
Free speech is between you and your government. Period. End of story.
Let’s look at the First Amendment, shall we?
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Somewhere along the line, it got bungled that free speech refers to being able to say whatever you want whenever you want without any consequences. Good luck with that.
You’re welcome to voice your opinions and say hateful things, but there will be fallout. Let’s take a look at what falls under First Amendment coverage and what does not.
