The Complexity of Laundry

Forget questions like, "Do I have enough clean underwear? or "If I hurt, are my comfy clothes clean?" Those are surface level compared to all of the juncture points I encounter and accommodate when tackling laundry. For most people, what I'm about to dissect is second nature and falls into a category of subconscious decision making. It used to be for me as well. However, with the current state of my health, a waxing and waining neurological condition that looks like a mashup of M.S. and stroke recovery, I don't have that luxury.

People find themselves underwater at various junctures in life with these seemingly simple tasks, not all due to fluctuations in health. I share my experience with the hope that if someone in your life is overwhelmed by an activity that at first glance appears simple, it might have more moving parts that you realize. I've found myself in a puddle of tears over my incapacitation limiting my ability to care for basic aspects of life more than one. Have patience. A brain on the fritz is no fun for anyone.
